There’s a line in HBO’s ‘Chernobyl’ that struck me – as I’m sure it did many people – that goes:
“Every lie we tell incurs a debt to the truth. Sooner or later that debt is paid.”
The lies surrounding the RMBK reactor in Chernobyl that exploded, releasing poison into the air, mean we still haven’t got a clear picture of the number of dead, the state failures, and possible other impending threats.
Similarly the Soviet state of Malta is struggling to cover up the melt down of its democratic institutions and rule of law. Malta’s government issues its state propaganda but, as with Russia, no one in the Western world believes it. The noise emitting from Joseph Muscat’s administration is precisely that … noise. The incredulity was highlighted in Pieter Omzigt’s PACE report on the state capture of its institutions, and Irish Sinn Fein Senator Paul Gavan had to stand up and say to Malta “when you’re in a hole, stop digging”.
The lies they deploy to try to mask the implosion of Malta’s reputation, economic stability and social fabric, will sicken generations of Maltese for decades to come – but we still haven’t a clear idea of how bad that will be.
Malta is experiencing a slow-mo, gradual combustion of its community. It is collapsing under the weight of its deceit.
Like Chernobyl, all it took was the involvement of a small group of men in positions of power to run Malta into the ground.
What does this destruction look like?
“Malta has fallen 12 places in the annual report by the World Bank since 2017. The country is now ranked lowest in the EU, and is being outperformed by countries such as Albania, Tunisia, Uzbekistan and the reclusive kingdom of Bhutan.”The Shift News.
In terms of banking, we know that Deutsche Bank and ING have cut all ties with Bank of Valletta, meaning our national bank no longer has a dollar correspondent banking relationship, and HSBC has been thinning its presence on the ground.
BOV is also currently terminating relationships with high risk clients like iGaming companies.
Thanks to The Shift News we came to learn that the Government had sold off the public hospitals by Keith Schembri, Konrad Mizzi and Chris Cardona. You can refresh your memory about the whole Vitals scandal here.
Civil NGO Repubblika is now desperately fighting to get the crime investigated, and Magistrate Doreen Clarke has ordered an inquiry into the conduct of three government Ministers in the privatisation of three public hospitals. Read more here.
Needless to say, everyone involved denies any wrongdoing and they’re vehemently appealing any inquiry.
As the president of NGO Repubblika Vicki Ann Cremona explains beautifully here, 60% of our judiciary is intertwined with the Labour Party.
Just let that fact detonate in your head for a moment. Come back to me if you have any questions.
Does this need an explanation? Five commissioners in 3 years, according to the Malta Independent. When Ali Sadr, owner of Pilatus bank, was running out of said bank in the middle of the night with a briefcase that made a solo trip out of the country on a private flight, Commissioner Lawrence Cutajar was too preoccupied with eating rabbit.
He also worships the Prime Minister like he does his beloved Inter football club.
The Labour Party took over the army . There’s no other word for it. Malta’s Armed Forces have been hijacked by Joseph Muscat.
Joseph Muscat is contractually obligated by Henley & Partners to promote the its sale of citizenship programme. As a result, Malta has earned a reputation as being the backdoor to Europe for criminals and shady characters.
And then of course, there’s the literal poisoning of the environment and the air you breathe as outlined here. The water is putrid from fishing farms, the trees are continually removed, and construction has your towns literally collapsing on its inhabitants.
Who needs a nuclear explosion when you’ve got the Labour government to slowly poison you?
What I wouldn’t give to be a fly on the wall when it finally dawns on people that their beloved Labour party is shafting them.
Of course, that kind of recognition requires a self-awareness and humility that these too many are not possessed of.
I’m not sure what else needs to be explained to die-hard Labour fans. You actively champion people – who you elected to safeguard your interests and advocate on your behalf – but who are robbing you blind.
Whether they’re fleecing you through their dodgy dealings with Azerbaijan , or through the privatisation of hospitals as revealed by The Shift News, or whether they’re siphoning off money to Panama Accounts, they’re robbing you blind.
